Abdul Wahab Al Shaibi has been appointed as the new key holder of the Holy Kaaba, following the passing of Sheikh Saleh Al Shaibi.

Abdul Wahab Al Shaibi is the 78th member of his family to hold this position and the 110th since the era of Qusay ibn Kilab.

As the new key holder, Abdul Wahab Al Shaibi is responsible for opening and closing the Kaaba, cleaning and washing its interior, repairing its Kiswah (Ghilaf-e-Kaaba), and welcoming visitors.
