Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has fulfilled her promise to facilitate the Hajj journey of 10 elderly women from Dar ul Aman.
The women, who were previously living in Aafiyat, were sent to perform Hajj on the special direction of the Chief Minister. This noble gesture was made possible after the women requested the Chief Minister for assistance during her visit to Aafiyat on Eid.
The Chief Minister met with the elderly women before their departure and directed the authorities concerned to take proper care of them during their journey. She also requested them to offer prayers for the security and prosperity of Pakistan.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also met with the women and requested them to pray for Pakistan during Hajj. The women expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister and the PML-N President for this great favor.
The 10 women, accompanied by their in-charge and assistant, are on a 21-day Hajj journey to Saudi Arabia. The Chief Minister presented them with ehraam, suits, and daily-use items before their departure.
This initiative by the Chief Minister is a testament to her commitment to supporting the underprivileged and fulfilling their religious aspirations. The women’s joy and gratitude were palpable as they embarked on their spiritual journey, thanks to the kindness and generosity of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
