Haider Sultan from Pakistan has won the gold medal in the weightlifting competition at the BRICS Games in Kazan, Russia ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵.
He competed in the 61kg weight category and lifted a total weight of 261kg, outclassing Russian weightlifters in a tough competition. Sultan’s impressive performance included a 115kg lift in the snatch event and a 146kg lift in the clean and jerk event.
Sultan’s gold medal win is a significant achievement for Pakistan in the sports arena, and his victory has been hailed by the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and the Pakistan Army ¹ ².
