With the Hajj pilgrimage season approaching, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced plans to help Pakistani pilgrims travel to Saudi Arabia. Flights will operate from May 9 to June 9.
For the first 15 days, all flights will go directly to Madinah Airport. On the first day, 2,160 pilgrims will leave on 11 flights.From May 24 to June 9, flights will switch to Jeddah Airport for onward travel to the sacred sites.
On the first day, 680 pilgrims from Islamabad will depart on three flights, along with 330 pilgrims from Karachi on two flights. Additionally, 670 pilgrims from Lahore will depart on three flights. Flights from Multan and Sialkot will also depart on the first day.
To accommodate pilgrims from different areas, the ministry has planned staggered departure dates. The first Hajj flight from Quetta is set for May 11, followed by Sukkur on May 27.
