The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a free meal program for primary schools in the public sector.
This initiative aims to provide free meals to children attending primary schools in urban areas of all divisional headquarters across the province.
The decision was made during a meeting in Peshawar, led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.Initially, the program will be tested in Abbottabad and Swat, with plans to extend it to other divisional headquarters in the future.
Around 70,000 children are expected to benefit from this program, receiving nutritious meals every day.
This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to enhance the quality of education and support students in public schools.
The program aims to ensure that children have the energy and nutrition they need to focus on their studies and perform better in school. It is also expected to reduce hunger among students and encourage more children to attend school regularly.
The government hopes that by addressing the nutritional needs of students, it can create a more conducive learning environment and improve educational outcomes in the province.
