Pakistan’s hockey team secured a significant win against Canada, defeating them 5-4 in their fourth pool match at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia.
With this victory, Pakistan has gathered 10 points in four matches, making them a strong contender for the tournament title.
In the match, Canada initially took the lead with goals from Sean Davis and Harbir Sidhu. However, Pakistan’s Abubakar Mahmood equalized with two goals, followed by goals from Arshad Liaqat, Rana Waheed Ashraf, and Ghazanfar Ali. Despite Canada’s efforts, Pakistan maintained their lead and emerged victorious.
The event features six teams, including Malaysia, Korea, Japan, New Zealand, and Canada. Pakistan’s final pool match will be against New Zealand on Friday.
