The Saudi Arabia football team has landed in Pakistan for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad.
Led by esteemed manager Roberto Mancini and assisted by former footballer Yaya Toure, they received a warm welcome from Pakistani officials and Saudi Arabian ambassador Nawaf Bin-Said Al-Malki at Islamabad International Airport.
Originally scheduled to arrive two days prior to the match, the Saudi team had to adjust their plans due to inadequate training facilities and the substandard condition of Jinnah Stadium. They eventually arrived just a day before the highly anticipated game.
Meanwhile, the struggling Pakistan football team unveiled their squad on Tuesday. Notably, the team includes 18-year-old striker McKeal Abdullah, currently playing for Mansfield Town in EFL League Two, set to compete in EFL League One next season after his club’s promotion.
